In 1982, Brian MacDonald founded Mac’s Roving Roast, which was renamed The Spit Roast Catering Company in 1983. For over 35 years, we have been providing exceptional catering services throughout Greater Melbourne. Since taking over from Brian in 2002, we have continued to run the business as a family venture, proud of the fabulous food we produce. Our experience includes catering for diverse events, such as the St. Kilda Film Festival (1,000 guests), the Planet Shakers Conference (1,500 guests), and numerous corporate Christmas parties with over 1,200 guests.

Our specialty lies in catering for functions of any size, from as few as 15 guests to much larger gatherings, in any location. Whether on the banks of the Yarra River, in the Botanical Gardens, at a local bowls club, or even in your office or home, we ensure top-quality service. Located across the road from the South Melbourne Market, we guarantee the freshest produce available, enhancing the quality of our catering.
