Highlights include the Winter Feast, a communal dining experience, and the Nude Solstice Swim, a daring plunge into the icy River Derwent. Dark Mofo invites audiences to engage with challenging and thought-provoking works that push the boundaries of contemporary art. More information is available at Dark Mofo.

  1. TICKETING

    Buy

All ticketed events are now sold out, apart from Winter Feast. Buy your Season Pass here, available until Friday 21 June. You can also buy single day entry tickets on the door.

    Receiving Tickets

Shortly after ticket purchase, you’ll receive an email containing your digital ticket link. This link contains all your tickets for Dark Mofo and Mona. Treat this link as your ticket—don’t share it around. If you lose your link, you can request a new one here. To prevent scalping, your digital ticket QR codes will become available 12 hours prior to each event.

Check the fine print on your ticket for more information. If you’re having issues accessing your ticket, please contact Bookings & Enquiries on [email protected] or +61 (3) 6277 9978.

    Refunds

No refunds or exchanges, unless applicable under Australian Consumer Law. Please see our Terms + Conditions for more information.

    Resales

Due to reduced festival resources, our resales service will not be offered this year. If you can no longer attend The Mona Gala or Night Shift, we suggest you gift your ticket to a friend. Winter Feast Season Passes may not be resold on any platform.

    Waitlist

There is no general waitlist. Waitlists for specific sold out events may show up on individual event pages, so keep your eyes peeled. Subscribe for updates on any ticket releases.

    Scalping

If you are selling tickets at a premium, we will cancel your order. If you purchase a ticket from a third party, we can’t guarantee that the ticket will be valid, and you also lose all consumer rights—including the right to a refund (even if you have a valid reason). All tickets have a unique barcode that can only be used once (and can be cancelled by the powers that be, should you not play ball).

Pass outs are available for some events, and will be clearly marked on your ticket. If you require a pass out, get a wristband or stamp from event staff before leaving the venue. Re-entry to all events is subject to capacity.

  3. CITY OF HOBART WINTER FEAST

    About

The Feast is an outdoor event and Tasmanian weather is infamously unpredictable. Dress appropriately for rain, hail or shine, and the unsurprising winter chill. Shelter is not guaranteed and entry is always subject to capacity.

    Dates

    Week One
    Thu 13–Sun 16 June

    Week Two
    Thu 20–Sun 23 June

    Tickets

Grab your nightly entry ticket at the door from 4pm. The Feast is free after 9pm nightly, all day on Sunday 18 + Sunday 23 June and for under 16s accompanied by a parent or guardian.

    Season Pass

The Season Pass grants you entry to every night of the Feast. Jump the queue or come and go as you please. Pass-outs are available with a Season Pass—just retrieve a stamp before exiting. If Season Passes sell out, don’t panic. Nightly tickets are available on the door.

    Under 18s

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. After 9pm, children aged 16 and 17 must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Group numbers may be limited and unaccompanied minors will be required to show ID.

    Feast Map

View our interactive Winter Feast map here, by clicking on stallholder numbers, or download a print version here.

    Queues

We do our best to prevent queueing issues, but queues happen to the best of us. When you get here, allow extra time to buy your tickets and enter the site, especially during peak times. Not a fan of queues? Jump them by purchasing a Season Pass.

    Pass Outs

No pass outs for door sales—if you exit the venue, you will need to queue and purchase another ticket to re-enter.

    Zero Waste

Gluttony without the guilt. Winter Feast strives to be a zero waste event, and this year we’re upscaling our reusable crockery program again. Food sourced indoors will be served in the usual compostable containers, but alfresco eats will now be plated on reusable metal crockery. Once you’ve taken your fill, your plates, bowls and utensils can be dropped off at the signed Plate + Scrape areas.

Our reusable cup system is back, and includes all beer, wine and cider bought anywhere within the Feast. It’s a $6 deposit for the cup, $5 of which will be returned if you bring it to the Festival Bars or the cup return station as you exit the event. You can swap your cup for a fresh one or another kind at any time.

We’ll have free water stations throughout the event as well—bring your favourite water bottle and make sure you stay hydrated during the revelry.

Reusable plates, cups and cutlery provided in partnership with the Department of State Growth.
