Here at Cake Date, we make almost everything from scratch. We use only the freshest ingredients, locally sourced where possible. This means that there are no preservatives and no unpleasant aftertaste. It also enables us to control the amount of sugar.
Fondant is made to order for each cake and can be flavoured to complement the cake flavour and filling. We also make all the flavourings that go into our cakes — salted caramel, citrus curds, berry coulis, vanilla extract and even coconut milk to name a few. Cake Date is passionate about using authentic flavours in all our baking and cooking. When you layer all of that real organic flavour, that is when you get full flavoured cakes and desserts.
Nadia – Cake Creator
Nadia is passionate about baking and creating cake designs that “wow”. Cakes that are delicious and worthy of the occasions they help to celebrate. Your wedding cake, engagement cake, birthday cake and celebration cake should be the best cake you have ever had, and Nadia makes sure it doesn’t disappoint. It’s important to her that your cake looks spectacular; but even more important that is tastes incredible!
Sarah – Barista
Known for her bright coloured hair and love of coffee! When she’s not brewing up a storm at Cake Date, Sarah loves volunteering at her horse riding centre and playing with her gorgeous pooch.
Catherine – Pastry Chef
Catherine loves creating delicious desserts almost as much as she loves to eat them! Her meticulous detail, innovative ideas and desire to make each cake absolutely delectable are what make her such a fantastic Pastry Chef. When she not baking up a storm the Cake Date kitchen, Catherine enjoys enjoys working on the cake details and reading.
