Established in 2015, Monster Group was created from a simple concept: to help Australians save more money on their utilities. After seeing how confusing the energy market was at the time, we realized this was our opportunity to simplify the comparison shopping process and help Aussies save money at the same time. Electricity Monster, our 1st brand, was created with the intention of focusing on providing energy consumers with an efficient comparison and connection service. Recognizing this challenge as an opportunity for positive change, our founders set out to create a solution.

In the early days, Electricity Monster operated out of a small office in Victoria with just a handful of dedicated employees. Armed with little more than a passion for innovation and a desire to make a difference, our team worked tirelessly to develop a service that would empower consumers to take control of their energy choices.

After years of helping customers put more money back in their pockets, Electricity Monster soon branched out into New South Wales in 2016, then further expanded into Queensland, South Australia, and ACT.

Electricity Monster soon diversified into the internet and solar markets. This marked a new era for the Monster Group as we began helping consumers secure better internet deals and solar solutions for their households and businesses. Over the years, we have brokered over 150,000 deals across Australia – from residential consumers to small and medium businesses.
