Gasworks Studio is nestled in Newstead, just minutes from Brisbane’s bustling music hub, Fortitude Valley. Live music venues, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants and bars surround Gasworks, creating an exciting atmosphere around the clock. Gasworks Recording Studio is run by four producers, engineers and musicians with a deep passion for music.

Gasworks Studio has a rich musical history. The studio was originally built as Jumpstart Studios by Ollie Friedrich in 2003, before being adopted as the central creative space for Queensland University of Technology’s music program in 2007. QUT renamed it Gasworks Recording Studio, and when QUT vacated in 2015, the name stuck.
