​I Create Art offer art classes and workshops for children, teenagers and adults, under the gentle guidance and encouragement of experienced practicing artist and art educator Mirjam Stevens.

Mirjam has at least 20 years experience teaching art in primary and high schools as well as independently running art classes and workshops for children of all ages and adults of all skill levels.  Mirjam specializes in drawing and painting. Visual art techniques in mixed media, clay and printmaking are also taught.

The art classes are run from her quiet studio in Dutton Park, overlooking a lush green and shady garden.
The classes are small to enable plenty of individual attention and tailored to you or your child’s skill level and needs.

Mirjam teaches from the belief that everyone can learn to draw and create art, therefore no experience or special skills are required for any of the classes. In the classes you will develop confidence and an understanding of working with various visual art materials and techniques.

Whether you come to this class to relax and enjoy the creative process or if you would like to learn new skills and techniques or advance your existing skills and techniques, Mirjam will be able to help cater to your artistic and creative needs.

​Mirjam has also been teaching after school art classes at St Ita Primary School in Dutton park for the last 3 years and teaches at West End State School with artist Alicia Lane for the past 10 years.
