Our first store, Merchants of Swanbourne, was born here when my Dad decided to retire and close his Hardware business after 35 years. It was both a sad and exciting day as one era came to an end and another began. The old heritage building not only once housed my Dad’s hardware business but the top story was also our family home for a few years when I was a child. I have many fond childhood memories of this building, when my husband Mike and I took over the premises, we tried to recreate this feeling of home by providing beautiful, unique products in themed rooms across the store.

In recent years Merchants has expanded to a second store in the beautiful riverside suburb of South Perth.
